[NEX: BIL.H], with 182,500 shares traded. Biomerge was also tied for the most numerous trader, as elaborated upon below.

According to the TSX Venture closing summary, the top trader in terms of value of shares traded for Wednesday was infrequently-traded X-Tal Minerals Corp. [NEX: XMT.H]. There were six trades in X-Tal on Wednesday, which seemed to form two sold blocks, of 38,500 and 20,000 shares respectively, made up of three trades each. The first two trades, of 33,000 and 4,500 shares each, went at 60 cents/share: they were made as of about 10:59 AM ET and 11:00 AM ET. The next one went at about 1:08 PM ET, and the last three went at about 1:09 PM ET. The third trade, of 1,000 shares, went at 55 cents/share, as did the fourth, of 9,000 shares. The last two, of 9,000 and 2,000 shares, went at 53 cents/share, XMT.H's closing price. It equaled X-Tal's 52-week low, on day's volume of 58,500 shares. Biomerge didn't place on the top ten daily-turnover list, found below; X-Tal placed second.

Three NEX stocks traded more than ten times on Wednesday, with a two-way tie for the most numerous trader in terms of number of trades. The first was Biomerge, with 16 trades. The first two trades, of 1,000 and 14,000 shares each, went at 1.5 cents/share which put BIL.H down 0.5 cents/share: unusually, those two seemed to have been the components of a bought block of 15,000 shares. The next two went at 2 cents/share, and the following trade went at 2.5 cents/share. After a return to 2 cents/share for one trade, two of them went at 2.5 cents/share. Both of those trades, of 30,000 and 10,000 share volumes, were independent of each other. The other trades of board-lot size went for 2 cents/share. The thirteenth and fourteenth trades were odd-lot-sized, and went for 0.5 cents/share.

The second NEX stock to trade 16 times on Wednesday is a familiar name in this category, Silvio Ventures [NEX: SIV.H]. Fourteen of those trades were odd-lot'ers, and all but one were bought through PI Financial. The one that wasn't, of 180 shares, went at 63 cents/share. The other thirteen went at prices ranging from 50 to 52 cents/share. Only the first odd-lot'er went at the 50 cents/share price; the five next odd-lot'ers went at 51 cents/share and the seven other odd-lot'ers went at 52 cents/share. The first board-lot-sized trade went at 53 cents/share, and the second went at 54 cents/share. This latter board-lot'er left SIV.H up 1 cent/share at the end of the day's trading, on total daily volume of 4,734 shares.

The third stock to trade more than ten times was Toba Industries Ltd. [NEX: TBG.H], which traded 12 times on Wednesday. The first three trades, of 10,000, 5,000 and 10,000 shares each, went at 16 cents/share. The next trade, of 30,000 shares, touched on the low of the day, also equal to Tuesday's close: 15.5 cents/share. Two more were made at that price, the eighth and the ninth, of 7,000 and 30,500 shares. In between those three were three trades that went at 16 cents/share too, as did the tenth: those were 10,000, 5,500, 3,500 and 500 shares in volume respectively. The last two trades of the day were at the day's high of 16.5 cents/share: they had volumes of 6,500 and 5,000 shares each. TBG.H closed at that same 16.5 cents/share, for a gain of 1 cent/share, on daily volume of 123,500 shares. This volume amount made Toba the runner-up in terms of raw volume; it placed ninth on the top ten daily-turnover list, found below.

The top percentage gainer in Wednesday's trading was Specialty Foods Group Income Fund [NEX: HAM.UN.H], which closed at 2 cents/share for a gain of 0.5 cents/share, or 33.33%, on the day. Although there were three trades in HAM.UN.H, only one of them was board-lot sized: it was for 1,000 shares at the closing price of 2 cents/share. The others were odd-lot-sized, of 500 shares each; both went at 0.5 cents/share. Total daily volume was 2,000 shares.

The top percentage decliner for Wednesday was Global Tree Technologies Inc. [NEX: GTT.H], which closed at 1.5 cents/share for a decline of 0.5 cents/share or 25%. The first two trades, of 3,000 and 7,000 shares, went for 2 cents/share, while the third and last board-lot-sized trade of 4,000 shares went at the closing price. There was a fourth trade, of 500 shares, which went at 0.5 cents/share. Because it was odd-lot-sized, it didn't affect the closing price even though it was the last one in GTT.H for the day. Total daily volume was 14,500 shares.
