There were, however, two releases relating to NEX companies sent out exclusively through Canjex Publishing. The first wasn't a news release from a company; it was an excerpt of a Vancouver Sun story about promoter Brian Gracey that mentioned two NEX companies. One of them was Rose Marie Resources [NEX: RSR.H], which Canjex excerpted, and the other was Alcor Resources Ltd. [NEX: ACZ.H]. Both are mentioned in the same vein. Rose Marie closed at 10.5 cents/share, down 1.5 cents/share from Tuesday's close, and Alcor didn't trade on Wednesday; its last close of 11 cents/share was made on Sept. 27th, 2007.
The other news item was a standard release, from Millstreet Industries Inc. [NEX: MLI.H], which has the results of the October 17th annual meeting. 44.55 percent of the issued and outstanding common shares were spoken for at the meeting, enough to constitute a quorum, and the two issues to be voted on - approval of a proposed private placement and a name change of the corporation - were approved almost unanimously. MLI.H last traded on Tuesday, and closed at 8.5 cents/share on that day.
In addition to the above items, there were also SEDAR-filed financial statements announced on Wednesday:
- Magnate Ventures Inc. has filed its latest quarterly statements with accompanying M D & A.
